Mobile Phone Concept
Final Year Project themed ‘Personable Objects’ with Singapore Polytechnic
A mobile phone that lasts.
In a commentary of the prevalent rise of mobile phones in today’s society, permutations of newer models are actively added into already inflated market.
This gives rise to a noble question: Is there really such a pressing need for an epidermic of mobile phones?
Buddy explores the notion of a mobile phone that grows with you. As such, Buddy challenges the idea of owning a single phone for a lifetime.
Made out of Solid Timber, each natural organic pattern ensures a unique Carcass of Buddy designed for you. The use of solid timber also allows beautifying of blemishes and scratches through time.
Buddy utilizes a full touch-screen feature, mimicking the organic grain patterns into the screen, giving off a beautiful illusion of an interactive wooden bud.
Buddy reduces its features to the bare minimum of calling and text messaging.
Send Leaf Messages; Reach out to another; and at the end of the day, Recharge Buddy.
